David<\/span><\/span><\/strong>: <\/span>\u201c<\/span>I<\/span> love m<\/span>y job<\/span>, but it<\/span> comes with<\/span> pressing deadlines and high demands. <\/span>By t<\/span>rying to keep up with the pace of my professional life<\/span>,<\/span> I<\/span> push<\/span>ed <\/span>my body past its limits<\/span>. That<\/span> did a lot of damage.<\/span>\u201d<\/span> David<\/span> ended up with <\/span><\/span>burnout<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span> <\/span>Margret <\/span>Margr\u00e9tard\u00f3ttir<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/a> helped him <\/span>navigate<\/span> his journey<\/span> towards recovery<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t David<\/span><\/span><\/strong>:<\/strong> <\/span><\/span>I have my own construction company, and I <\/span>really want<\/span> it <\/span>\u03c3\u03c4\u03bf <\/span>work<\/span>. <\/span>At the time <\/span>I <\/span>couldn\u2019t<\/span> afford to <\/span>hire <\/span>help<\/span>. My workload became<\/span> excessive, and that left<\/span> me with<\/span> little room for self-care.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t Burnout is when you hit a point of being both physically and emotionally drained. This often happens when you deal with long-term stress, like in a demanding job. <\/span>Signs of burnout<\/span><\/b> include feeling tired almost constantly and experiencing a sense of helplessness or defeat.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t David:<\/strong> I felt <\/span>exhausted all the time<\/span>, both physically and emotionally, and I had constant <\/span>migraine<\/b><\/span><\/a>. When my marriage started to deteriorate, I realized I needed to make a drastic change in my life. These <\/span>work burnout symptoms<\/span><\/b> had to stop.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p> \u00a0<\/span><\/p> Margret Margr\u00e9tard\u00f3ttir<\/span><\/b>: <\/span>When I first met David, he was drinking large amounts of <\/span>coffee and energy drinks<\/span><\/b>. Yet those stimulants only exacerbated his problems. Caffeine dehydrates the body, depletes it of minerals, and puts a lot of pressure on the adrenal glands. And that affects the way the body handles stress.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t David<\/span><\/b>: <\/span>T<\/span>he fi<\/span>rst important step was to acknowledge the toll my lifestyle had taken on my body. I was chronically dehydrated and didn\u2019t get the <\/span>nutrients<\/b><\/span><\/a> I needed. Step by step, Margret helped me to reduce my daily coffee intake from 10 cups to 2, and to <\/span>drink more water<\/b><\/span><\/a>. I believe hydration has been key to my recovery. Headaches disappeared almost completely once I started paying attention to it. Healthy meals, too, are now one of my priorities.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p> \u00a0<\/span><\/p> Margret <\/span><\/b>Margr\u00e9tard\u00f3ttir<\/span><\/b>: <\/span>Quantum biofeedback sessions<\/b><\/span><\/a> were an integral part of David\u2019s healing process as well. Our sessions rebalanced David\u2019s energy, corrected his adrenal function, and guided him back to a state of equilibrium. David was also quick to incorporate <\/span>stress-reducing exercises<\/b><\/span><\/a> into his daily routine. Yoga and meditation became powerful tools to manage stress and to <\/span>reconnect with his inner self<\/span><\/b>. It only confirms that reserving just a short amount of time for yourself each day can make a significant difference in terms of <\/span>mental and emotional resilience<\/span><\/b>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t David<\/span><\/span><\/strong>:<\/span> <\/span>It\u2019s<\/span> been about four months since I made a real turnaround in my life. My energy levels are <\/span>pretty much back<\/span> to how they were before I hit burnout, and happily, <\/span>I\u2019ve<\/span> patched things up with my family too.<\/span> To <\/span><\/span>avoid another burnout<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, <\/span><\/span>I prioritize self-care and meticulously arrange my work setup to best accommodate my needs.<\/span><\/span> I\u2019ve<\/span> figured out that <\/span><\/span>recovering from burnout<\/span><\/span> isn\u2019t<\/span> just about <\/span><\/span>dealing<\/span> with work stress<\/span><\/span><\/strong>. <\/span>It\u2019s<\/span> also about things like staying hydrated, getting good nutrition, and managing stress in a way that works for you.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t M<\/span>argret <\/span><\/span>Margr\u00e9tard\u00f3ttir<\/span><\/span><\/strong> s<\/span>uffered a serious accident in 1995 and was <\/span>deemed<\/span> incurable by doctors. <\/span><\/span>In 2005, she discovered biofeedback technology. Her health improved and she bought her own biofeedback device in 2006.
